Family Business

Bernie and Gary Santiago have devoted themselves to bringing the best in cycling to Skagit County.  Avid cyclist themselves, they have fulfilled their dream of owning a great bicycle store. Gary has been working with bicycles since he was a kid, saving up for his first good bike and going on century rides when he was just a teenager. He started building and repairing bikes in his back yard, and has been in the cycling industry since the early eighties.  After over a decade as a licensed racer and many years working for a major bicycle manufacturer, he wanted to own his own store. Bernie brought a background in retail management and a love of cycling to the partnership and for 25 years the Santiago's have been growing their business by serving the needs of the cycling community in Skagit County and beyond. Today the business is growing in many new directions being led by their son's Cody and Alec.

A Brief History

Opened as Skagit Pedal Sports in May of 1998, shortly there after our name was changed to Skagit Cycle Center. The Burlington store was so successful we added new stores in Anacortes and Oak Harbor which has made it easier to serve our friends in the islands. We have many things in common with our customers. But most important is that we just love bikes!  We welcome friendly chats with fellow riders who want advice on local rides, how to improve technique off-road or on, or where to get a good sandwich after your ride.

Our amazing selection of bicycles--over 1000 in stock--lets you see and ride a broad variety of bikes. And if we don't have it, we can probably get it! We represent a large spectrum of major manufacturers--and many unique custom companies as well. We have all the hottest brands under one roof! We're friendly, we're fun, and we know bikes. Come visit us soon and see! Whether you are local, coming from Bellingham, Seattle, or the San Juan Islands, it is easy to visit us. Our Burlington store has the largest selection of bicycles, clothing, and parts in Skagit Valley. It is conveniently located close to I-5 (George Hopper exit) directly across from Costco on Burlington Blvd. Our Anacortes store is at the corner of Commercial Ave. and 17th. The Oak Harbor store is located in historic downtown on Pioneer Way.
